Hornet climbs a strange kingdom of silk and song. Faster and more acrobatic than the first game, and just as rich.

What you do

Climb upwards through a new kingdom, fight with needle and thread, take on quests from townsfolk and hunt for secrets.

Who it suits

Fans of the first game and anyone who wants a demanding, beautiful metroidvania.

01Arrival

Hornet is captured and wakes in Pharloom. The first hour shows how much faster she moves than the Knight did.

02Deeper in

Quests from the people you meet give the middle more structure than the first game, and the bosses are some of the hardest in the genre.

03Safe places to stop

Benches save the game; some are spaced further apart, so plan your route home.

Why it works

  • Fast, fluid movement
  • Gorgeous new kingdom
  • Huge amount to discover

Watch out for

  • Very hard
  • Benches can be far apart
