Ori and the Will of the Wisps

A small glowing spirit searches a wild forest for a lost friend. Breathtaking to look at, wonderful to move through, and very moving.

What you do

Run, jump, dash and grapple through a living forest, fighting with light and finding shards that change your abilities.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants a beautiful adventure. Easier than Hollow Knight, with a story that may make you cry.

01Arrival

A flight on an owl ends badly, and Ori lands in a new land. The opening hour is one of the most beautiful in games.

02Deeper in

Escape sequences, huge bosses and a forest full of side quests fill the middle. Movement becomes a joy.

03Safe places to stop

Spirit wells save the game and let you travel; the game also autosaves often.

Why it works

  • Stunning art and music
  • Superb movement
  • Emotional story

Watch out for

  • Some chase scenes are strict
  • Not on PlayStation
